Light this one and the first breath is cold. Peppermint and eucalyptus are sharp and clean. You take in a lungful of winter air, cold enough that you feel it behind your eyes, and your sinuses open up. The cold fades, and the room becomes warm and low. Clove comes first, dark and sweet, leaving a slight numbness on your tongue, like a clove pressed into an orange. Behind it is cedar, dry and clean, resembling fresh-cut wood and a sharpened pencil. Then there’s patchouli, deeper and slightly damp, evoking dark soil and old incense, with a hint of soft vanilla beneath it all. This scent is perfect for the end of a long day. The cold clears your head, and the warmth settles in behind it, just as your shoulders finally relax.
